The chalet is just 15-minutes on foot from the centre of Zermatt. The local bus stops just 30m down the road, giving easy access to all the lifts and the village centre. In summer there are walking and biking trails on the doorstep, and in winter skiers will love the proximity to the Klein Matterhorn lift – when the snow is good you can ski back to within a two minute walk of the chalet.
The apartment is great for those looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy all that Zermatt has to offer. It’s modern but cosy, with all of the mod-cons and a well-equipped kitchen.
All linen/towels etc. is provided, so no need to bring your own. It also has high speed Wi-Fi, smart TV and a Nespresso machine.

Excellent rating
Based on 81 reviews Chris’s place is very clean , quiet & in good size for a group of 7 adults , a bit far from train station, suggest get a taxi to reach bnb especially with luggage! Joyce21 June 2024 Absolutely one of the most amazing places we have stayed yet.You really need to put this place on your bucket list!!@ Debi22 May 2024 Lovely stay! Great appartement with a beautiful view. Nicolas5 May 2024 Chris was a great host, very communicative and accommodating! His place is absolutely gorgeous, private and peaceful and had plenty of space for the 3 of us. Best of all, the view of the Matterhorn on the balcony was epic. I would definitely recommend staying here! Daniel11 October 2023 The apartment was amazing to stay in as it was in Zermatt was us very hard to find affordable and great housing. While the apartment isn’t the largest, the features and rooms were in great shape/design. The walk from the station was long and I would highly recommend others to take the electric taxi (cost like 30 CHF for four people and bags) but so worth going up hill and walking 20 min with bags. Other then that, the location was great and the sunrise and Matterhorn views were spot on. Prem13 August 2023 Chris was super responsive and his place was amazing. Everything was clean and we enjoyed our stay. Definitely would recommend to others. Scott11 July 2023 Chris’ property was the perfect place for our family of 4. The view of the Matterhorn was incredible! The interior is large and very nice. The comments about the walk to/from town in other reviews are accurate and we did not find it an issue at all. Conveniently located for what we wanted to do and Chris was extremely helpful!! Thank you Chris for all your hospitality!! Sally5 July 2023 Chris’s place is beautiful and the view of Matterhorn from very large balcony is breathtaking! The house looks so much better compared to pictures, is very well decorated and has all things we needed for our stay! It’s like the perfect family vacation house. We enjoyed our stay, made little meal and slept well. The ginormous TV is a plus. Would love to spend a week here when we visit next time! Ruchi24 June 2023

How to get here
Getting to Zermatt
– By car
Zermatt is a car-free town so the closest parking is in Täsch (c.5km from Zermatt). There are several carparks, but the easiest option is Matterhorn Terminal which is secure covered parking that is joined to the station. From Täsch, there’s a 12 minute shuttle train up to Zermatt. The train runs every 20 minutes during the day (check times on SBB.ch)
– By train (check SBB.ch for up-to-date times)
From Geneva the trains run every half an hour to Visp, where you can change trains up to Zermatt. Travel time from Geneva is around 4 hours.
From Zurich the trains run approximately every half hour, and normally direct to Visp where you can change trains for Zermatt. Travel time from Zurich is around 3.5 hours.
Getting from Zermatt train station to the apartment
What3Words: ///blotting.fencing.takers will take you right to the front door
– Taxi: It’s about 5mins in a taxi from the train station to the apartment. You will find taxis parked immediately outside the train station. Ask the driver for Haus Brigitte in Winkelmatten. Taxis prices are controlled, so you will pay the same price whichever company you use.
– Bus: There are also buses (red line) from near the train station that run up to Winkelmatten. From the stop Schlüematta, you can easily walk to the apartment (it’s about 50m – see below instructions)
– On foot: If you prefer to walk, then follow the signs for the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise lift station. At the lift station, keep walking up the road another 150m until you see a large chalet called ‘Mojo’ on your left. The path to Haus Brigitte is just after this chalet (and another smaller one called Gleneagles) by a meadow.
